The Guardian Angels collection was first presented at an author’s exhibition at the Prosper Golf Resort in Čeladná.
A series of minimalist yet symbolically resonant figures. Sculptures and emblems of mindful presence, archetypes of protection that embody both delicacy and strength.
Their significance does not rely on belief – they exist because they can be felt.
They stand not only as physical forms, but as spaces of reflection – an invitation to pause, to linger, and to attune to the breath of presence.”
Guardian Angel from the Guardian Angels Collection
The Guardian Angel is one of the signature sculptures of the Guardian Angels Collection — a limited series that unites a shared visual language while allowing each piece to stand entirely on its own. None of the sculptures are cast; every one is shaped by hand, numbered, and infused with the artist’s presence. Each carries a distinct energy, unique details, and the subtle imprint of the moment in which it came to life.
Crafted from stainless steel in a minimalist expression, the sculpture captures the fragile balance between delicacy and strength, between light and matter. Its form evokes motion, wings, and quiet stillness. The pure lines and mirror-like surface invite contemplation — a silent pause, a personal dialogue with something beyond ourselves.
Upon closer view, the observer discovers a hidden detail: in the angel’s head, part of one’s own face is reflected. For sculptor Vilém Frič, this is a crucial moment.
“It’s no coincidence,” Frič explains. “What unfolds around us is reflected within us. We become part of a greater whole — a harmony of light, space, and presence. And perhaps through that awareness, we can influence the world that surrounds us.”
This philosophy runs through the entire Guardian Angels Collection and continues in the related series, Angelic Wings.
Each sculpture tells its own story — one that intertwines contemporary material, spiritual symbolism, and a message of hope.
“Sculpture is my language,” Frič says. “In these unsettled times, we need to recall the symbols of goodness and protection. To me, the Guardian Angels are not merely objects — they are a message that even in moments of hardship, something greater watches over us, even if we cannot always see it.”
