Artforest is a family brand presenting the original work of Jiří and Vilém Frič in contemporary sculpture, fountains, sculptural objects and original design.
The brand was founded by MgA. Vilém Frič as a shared platform for presenting his own work and his intergenerational collaboration with his father, sculptor Jiří Frič.
The work of Jiří and Vilém Frič brings together materials, space, water, light and movement to tell the story of a place.
Under the Artforest brand and their own names, their works are presented at contemporary art exhibitions and featured in private collections, architecture, galleries and public spaces, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Family Tradition
Three generations. One shared relationship with materials and space.
The work of Jiří and Vilém Frič is rooted in a family environment where an appreciation for materials, craftsmanship and space is naturally passed down from one generation to the next. From childhood, Vilém Frič was familiar with his father’s work with stainless steel, fountains and sculptural objects.
Alongside the experience gained through his close connection with his father’s work, Vilém gradually developed his own artistic language. His contemporary work combines his knowledge of materials with a fascination for movement, light, reflection, water and technology.
The works of Jiří and Vilém Frič are not created merely as objects to be observed. They are spatial experiences that engage with the viewer, the place and the moment.
