Works by Jiří and Vilém Frič Become Part of Oldřich Uttendorfský’s Unique Collection
The artworks of Jiří Frič and Vilém Frič have become a part of the exceptional collection being built by Oldřich Uttendorfský – a personality known not only for his diplomatic role but also for his distinctive approach to art.
His philosophy for selecting works is based on a combination of rationality and intuition. As he himself states, “one eye observes and the other feels,” which aptly characterizes his collecting approach: it is not merely about aesthetics or investment value, but also about the internal resonance of the work.
For both artists from the Artforest studio, inclusion in such a collection represents significant recognition. It is not merely that their work has found a new owner, but also about the atmosphere, the pleasant encounter with a person who truly experiences art. As Vilém Frič describes: “We are always delighted when our works are appreciated and bring joy to new owners, but handing over the sculptures to Mr. Uttendorfský felt like a celebration for us.
