The story of the work
The Transience of Image Between Present and Past
Ether is a contemplation on the transience of the present and how reality shifts the very moment we perceive it. The polished stainless steel reflects its surroundings, but where the surface is roughened, the precise image dissolves into an indistinct luminous trace, reminiscent of mist or a cloud. This creates an intermediate space between the solid material and the vanishing reflection – a boundary between what we see now, what is already becoming the past, and what can only be intuited.
